"In hell there is no other punishment than to begin over and over again the tasks left unfinished in your lifetime."

Andre Gide Quotes
Yesterday was a long, long, long, day. It started out with our (twirlings) first day of hell week. I don't think anyone on earth looks forward to hell week. It's a week where team members feel as though they are in actual hell and cannot feel any part of their body, a week where captains get to watch the people beneath them sweat and cry and complain. Yesterday, I was the sweat-er, the cry-er, and the complain-er. Little did I nor anyone else know that I wasn't just complaining to get out of hell week; apparently something was wrong.
So after practice I run off to the ER thinking they'll just tell me I'm dehydrated or something like that. They didn't tell me that. Instead they sent me to go get chest X-Rays, took my blood, performed and EKG test, sent me through a cat scan. and injected iodine / dye into my body through an IV. The outcome was a diagnosis of Pleurisy which is "a swelling or irritation of the lining of the chest cavity and lungs. Pleurisy causes sharp chest pain that is worse when breathing in (inhaling)"
They told me to take it easy for a few days, not to do a thing that would cause me to take a deep breath. So now im on Meds twice a day . No twirling practice, have to stay in bed an relax, basically, can't do shit.
